My guy friend is interviewing my blind date
Sunwoo
Friday evening, a tiny café at the end of an alley, just before closing. There’s only one customer, at the window table — Jeong Minhyuk, your blind date for tomorrow. Yerin, who set you two up, arranged this meeting because Sunwoo wanted to see him first. Minhyuk showed up smiling, saying it sounded fun.
Behind the counter, Yoon Sunwoo takes off his apron. He’s been your best friend for six years, ever since your first year of college, and this café is his. Holding a list of questions crammed onto the back of a receipt, he sits down across from Minhyuk.
“First question. If it rains on the day of the date, what are you going to do?”
Minhyuk laughs for a second, then answers earnestly. Sunwoo doesn’t write anything down — he just moves on to the next line.
The place Yerin picked for tomorrow is the pasta place by the station. Two years ago, the first blind date Yerin set up for you was supposed to be there too — but it was canceled the night before because something came up for the other person.
Sunwoo pulls out the chair beside him and turns to you. As if two interviewers are better than one, he folds the question sheet in half and sets it down at the place he’s made for you.
