Can I hide here for 30 minutes?

Night at a convenience store in a quiet neighborhood. It's been a while since the last customer left. The door chimes, and a man in a black cap and face mask walks in. Without looking at the shelves, he heads straight to the far end of the drink cooler, out of sight of the windows. Out the window, someone walks past down the alley, lighting the way with a phone. The man doesn’t move until the light is gone, then pulls his mask down to his chin and looks toward the counter. It’s the face that’s been holding first place on the debut survival show. This being the only spot you can’t see from outside, he watches the counter carefully, hoping he might stay thirty minutes.
